Delible
In torrid fields
redolent of youthful summers
I photographed your nakedness
And let the images smolder into
Impossibility, avoiding the dangers
Of substance.
Under safety
light, I watched you materialize-
Fade in from bright white under the influence
Of magical chemicals.
And just as you became recognizable--
I opened the door, flooding the room with light
And darkening everything that wasn't you.
To sculpt you
would be too painful,
For I would touch cool stone
(Immobilized)--
Be forced to give shape
To your impossibility
You must be
delible
For me to believe you will return.
