AWAD Quiz 18: Collective Nouns

(AWAD - June 7 - 13, 1999) This week's AWAD featured seven lesser known terms used for collections of specimens from the animal kingdom. Match up the collective noun with the appropriate animal(s):

___ bevy A. a school of marine mammals, such as seals, whales, or dolphins.
___ covey B. a flock of geese or similar birds in flight.
___ nide C. a family or small flock of birds, especially partridge or quail.
